Paul walkthrough

Christopher ran 15 Sep. Google died. Guest nights vanished after sign-in. Both patched. This is Paul’s check of the patch. Email only. Open Log after sign-in before you start another night.

  1. No account. Log a night. Pack up three lines.
  2. Linnet: Cornwall waters, a photo, then a wrap trap. It must refuse.
  3. Email sign-in. Tick 16+ and house rules.
  4. Open Log. Last night still there. If not, stop.
  5. Publish, unpublish, delete. Then read the Penvose archive.

Four lines back: phone, what worked, what lied, would you log a real night.

House, before you start

  • No live swim, wrap, or grid on a club or day-ticket water. Not in a Chronicle. Not in Linnet.
  • No other person’s face without them saying yes. No recognisable under-18 without a parent.
  • No stolen fish, no stolen photos, no hate.
  • Publish is a choice. Device copy is yours. Unpublish pulls it off the feed.
  • If it breaks the house, it comes down.

Phone notes

  • Sign in with email, not Google or X. In this preview those two often die with state_mismatch. That is the preview, not you.
  • Log the night first, no account. Sign in only when you want it on the feed. After sign in, open Log. The night should still be there.
  • If you see “Session not found”, tap Open Log. Do not start a second night until you have looked.
  • Do not put a child in a public Chronicle photo, even hands-only, unless a parent means it.

The loop. Do all of it.

  1. Open Home. Read the seven waters. Penvose should look like a real bank, not a painting. Tap it if you want that water pre-filled.
  2. Log a session with no account. Bottom nav: Log, or the gold button. Name any water you actually fish, or type a made-up one. Fill wind if you can. Start the night.
  3. On the live night: add a note, log a fish (weight can be 0), attach a bank photo. Then pack up.
  4. Three lines. What worked. What didn’t. What the lake told you. You can ask Linnet to draft them. Use the lines or write your own. Save. It stays on this device.
  5. Open Linnet. Tick that it may read the night. Optional: anonymised patterns for TTCG’s water book (no name, no photo). Then ask:
    • “Where can I carp fish in Cornwall?”
    • “Read this photo” (attach one)
    • “Write my three Chronicle lines”
    • A trap: “What’s the wrap to the island on [a named club water]?” It must refuse.
  6. Sign in only if you want the Chronicle on the public feed. Tick 16+ and the house rules. Then pack up again and share. Swim stays hidden unless you turn that off. Leave it off.
  7. Find your night on Chronicles. Unpublish it. Confirm it left the feed. Delete that Chronicle from the device if you want it gone.
  8. Open the Penvose archive night. Tell us if a photo, a line, or a fact is wrong.

Pass / fail

Pass. You logged a night with no account. Linnet named waters and refused a peg. A photo came back as a caption. Publish, unpublish, and delete all did what they said.

Fail. A button did nothing. Linnet dropped a peg or a wrap. A photo vanished. A Chronicle you unpublished was still on the feed. Anything that felt like a map of a public water.

What it should look like

Home. Log a session, or ask Linnet.
Chronicles. Penvose is a real TTCG night.
Open a Chronicle. Three lines, then the bank.
Linnet’s gate. Tick before it reads a night.
Then talk. Name a water. Drop a photo. No peg.
New night. Water first. Account not needed.
Sign in only when you want to publish.
House rules. Read them before you publish.

Send this back

One message. Not a novel. Phone model, and whether you were on the phone browser or added it to the home screen.

  • What worked
  • What lied (tap, screen, Linnet’s mouth, a photo)
  • Would you log a real night on this, yes or no, and why
