Porth

18 Sept, 17:09 · 1 night

Wind SW 15 mph · Glass 1016 mb steady · Moon First quarter 44% · 17°C · Water light

What worked

Steady rods on light water under a first-quarter moon. The 7lb 7oz took a simple presentation when the SW breeze died to glass.

What didn’t

Nothing much failed hard. The open water stayed quiet once it locked calm, so the long waits out front gave little back.

What the lake told you

Porth stayed honest. Light colour, soft pressure, one fish willing when the ripple faded. A quiet night that still paid a small wage.
